How long do hair extensions last?
With proper care, K-Tip extensions last 3–6 months before needing a maintenance appointment. The bonds remain secure, but your natural hair grows, so repositioning is needed over time.
Do I need a consultation before booking?
Yes — a consultation is highly recommended. It allows us to assess your hair type, discuss your goals, match your colour perfectly, and give you an accurate quote. Consultations are free for all new clients.
Are your extensions made from real human hair?
Absolutely. We use 100% Remy human hair, meaning the cuticles are intact and aligned in one direction — giving you the most natural feel, shine, and blendability possible.
Can I choose different lengths and colours?
Yes! We offer a wide range of lengths (from 16" to 26") and an extensive colour palette including natural shades, balayage, and custom colour matching to suit your unique look.
Installation Questions
How long does the installation take?
A full K-Tip installation typically takes 2–5 hours depending on the volume of extensions, the method used, and your desired result. We recommend setting aside a half-day for your first appointment.
Are hair extensions damaging to natural hair?
When applied and maintained correctly by a professional, K-Tip extensions cause no damage. We take care to avoid placing bonds too close to the scalp and always assess your hair health before installation.
Will extensions feel heavy or uncomfortable?
No — K-Tip extensions are one of the lightest methods available. Because they're applied strand by strand, the weight is evenly distributed and most clients forget they're even wearing them within a day or two.
Can extensions blend with short or fine hair?
Yes! K-Tips work beautifully on fine hair as they add both length and volume without bulk. For very short hair (above the chin), we'll advise the best strategy during your consultation.
Do you offer curly or wavy hair extensions?
Yes, we carry wavy and curly textures to match a variety of natural hair patterns. We also stock straight extensions that can be heat-styled to match your curl pattern after installation.
Aftercare & Maintenance
How often should I book maintenance appointments?
We recommend coming in every 6–8 weeks for a maintenance appointment. This keeps your bonds in great condition, prevents tangling near the roots, and extends the overall life of your extensions.
Can I wash my hair normally with extensions?
Yes, but technique matters. Use a sulphate-free shampoo, wash in a downward motion (never circular), and avoid applying conditioner directly to the bonds. Always brush gently from ends to roots before washing.
Can I use heat styling tools on my extensions?
Yes — since our extensions are 100% human hair, they can be straightened, curled, or blow-dried. Always use a heat protectant spray and avoid applying direct heat to the keratin bonds themselves.
What products should I avoid?
Avoid anything containing sulphates, alcohol, or heavy oils near the bond area. These can break down the keratin bond over time. We recommend our curated aftercare range for best results.
Do you provide aftercare guidance after my appointment?
Yes — every client receives a personalised aftercare guide and a full walkthrough at the end of their appointment. We're also available via email or phone if any questions come up between visits.

Is a deposit required to secure my booking?
Yes, a deposit is required to confirm your appointment. This goes toward your total service cost and ensures your time slot is reserved exclusively for you.
Do you offer payment plans or Afterpay?
Yes! We offer Afterpay so you can spread the cost of your extensions across four interest-free fortnightly payments. Ask us about payment options during your consultation.
