We discuss your design brief, inspiration images, colour palette, and occasion. We advise on what's achievable on your nail length and shape and agree on the final design direction before beginning.
Base Service
Your chosen base service is completed first — gel manicure, BIAB, or acrylic — with your base colour or clear base. This forms the foundation for your nail art.
Nail Art Application
Freehand design is applied using gel paint and specialist nail art products. Each element is applied, cured, and built layer by layer. Complex designs may involve multiple curing cycles.
Top Coat & Seal
A protective gel top coat is applied over the completed design and LED-cured — sealing and protecting the art beneath.
Review & Adjust
We review the completed design with you and make any adjustments before your final seal coat. You leave with exactly what we agreed.
Protecting Your Nail Art
Nail art is sealed under a gel top coat and is as durable as the base gel underneath. Follow the same aftercare as your base service, with these additional notes:
- Apply cuticle oil daily — including over the nail art — to maintain the top coat seal and nail health
- Avoid harsh chemical exposure — wear gloves for cleaning and gardening
- Do not attempt to remove nail art at home by peeling — soak-off removal at the studio is essential to protect the art and the nail
- Avoid picking at the edges of any design elements — even a small lift can allow moisture underneath
- For heavily detailed designs: avoid prolonged hot tub or pool exposure

Nail art adds approximately 30–60 minutes to a standard manicure appointment, depending on complexity. A single accent nail or minimal design adds 30 minutes. A full detailed set with multiple elements may add 60–90 minutes. We allocate the correct time when you book.
